Ms. Minter is a board certified psychiatric mental health nurse practitioner (PMHNP), pursuing a
Doctorate in Nursing Practice.
She is enthusiastic about providing quality, compassionate, and comprehensive mental health services.
Ms. Minter possesses strong clinical and creative problem-solving skills enhanced by an authentic ability
to build rapport with patients and families. Evidenced-based guidelines blended with clinical experience,
personal observation, and intuition are her strengths that enable positive outcomes for her patients.
She is qualified to diagnose, treat, provide therapy, and prescribe medication for children, adolescents,
and adults. Some of her practice specialties include (but are not limited to), Depression, Anxiety, Mood
Disorders, Insomnia, Alcohol and Substance Use Disorders.
Her practice style can be traditional (prescribing up-to-date medication) or alternative medicine (natural
treatments including vitamins, supplements, lifestyle modification, nutrition, exercise, and stress
management). She believes in the mind/body/spiritual connection, and the importance of treating the
whole person.
She understands that life does not typically fit in a standard 9a-5pm time slot; she welcomes early
morning, evening, and weekend appointments.
She has experience providing care for patients in different settings such as Community-based health,
outpatient, inpatient mental health, and acute care medical-surgical.
Ms. Minter received a BSN from the University of North Carolina at Wilmington, MSN from the University
of South Carolina at Columbia and returned to USC to pursue the DNP.
Her hobbies include running, reading, bicycling, beach activities, and most things that allow her to be
outdoors.
